Friday night worship: FNW, is the place where our community gathers to intercede and join in the prayer of Jesus: ’your Kingdom come, your will be done’ as it is in heaven, let it be so on the earth: in cities, in streets, in homes, and hearts.
It is a place where we are trying to ask the question: what should it look like for the family of God to meet together in homes?
What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.
1 Cor 14:26
Its our heart that these gatherings would resemble a spiritual potluck rather than a hired-in professional catering company. A place where each believer provides a piece of the spiritual feast, not just the ‘professionals’.
Its not about consumerism, it's about communion.
It’s our hope that we rediscover the beauty, the value and mystery [as well as the messiness, awkwardness, tension and the brokenness] that comes from an authentic community coming together, to bear one another’s burdens, to exhort, encourage, equip, envision and release a priesthood of all believers to be active participants in ministering to the heart of God, and interceding for the city and the people he as called us to.
